PMVA, Physical Intervention And Restraint Reduction Training
This course is more suited for anyone who is dealing with challenging behaviour or violence at an advanced level. Care workers in the mental health sector and secure transport personnel.
This course will cover managing challenging / violent behaviour, the law and legislation regarding use of force, understanding conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques and also breakaway and restraint training, including handcuffs, soft-cuffs if required.
If you are a member of care support staff, and need to engage with, or manage challenging or aggressive clients, then this is the course for you. Taught by subject matter specialists, who not only teach the theoretical science behind behaviour management, but will also teach candidates simple, practical and safe techniques, that will enable them to keep their clients and themselves safe in times of distress.
All techniques used on this course have been medically risk assessed, to provide the safest possible option if the need for intervention arises. All our trainers carry ID and also hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate.
